On February 24, 2002, at 5:30 in the afternoon on a beautiful sunny day in the Florida Keys,  Jonathan left his body in a car crash on Card Sound Road. We had recently celebrated his 15th birthday.

It is our deep sorrow that four other people also perished in the same crash, Christine Beemer, Blake Fernandez, Damien Fernandez and Shirley Fernandez. We remember these dear souls, whose lives with us were cut tragically short and pray for them and those who love them, every day.

This website is a reflection of our desire to turn a painful tragedy into some small positive gesture of faith and hope. Our deeply held spiritual beliefs inform us that there are no accidents in life, that not even a blade of grass moves without God's sanction. We pray for the understanding that God, in His infinite wisdom has a better plan for Jonathan, the others who also perished and the loved ones left behind. We struggle to accept this loss and pray for everyone's healing, every day.
