Foremost, this is a family and a community project. Without the loving help, support and guidance of my family, friends and community it would not be possible. I am especially grateful to my daughters Revati and Shakti. They are both sweet and generous of heart, a mother could not wish for more.  Also, Jack Baldwin, my life-partner and Jonathan’s step-father has been steady and supportive in all the terrifying ups and downs that grief reveals. Many unions do not survive the bitter loss of a child, ours seems to have grown stronger and that is to Jack’s credit. He has been strong and unbelievably understanding, a grieving mother could not ask for more. My sister Martha and my mother Suzie have been sources of quiet strength and encouragement in many a dark moment, proving the enduring bond of family.

So many dear friends, near and far have reached out in many touching ways to be there for us. It would take many lifetimes to repay the kindness and consideration we have been offered in time of need. I am also eternally indebted to my coworkers at the Key West Post Office. Besides the enthusiastic appreciation for Good Karma Cookies, they too have been my loving family, offering hugs when there are tears, smiles at the happy memories and understanding when things just get overwhelming, often all in the same day. No one could ask for a better crew to work with and I know how fortunate I am. Finally, I have to express sincere appreciation for everyone in this remarkable community of caring souls who inhabit this little spot of paradise we are lucky enough to call home. We have been blessed in many ways. There have been so many kind individuals it is not possible to acknowledge everyone who has helped, but I would like to recognize some of the individuals who have contributed so much through the years.
